Eight capabilities. One TSA.

Automation and control - TSA designs, builds and integrates theatrical automation on the Raynok control platform, cue-synced and safe every performance

Production engineering · Automation & control

The move runs the same every performance.

TSA designs and builds the machinery, then integrates and commissions it on the Raynok control platform - automated fly, revolves, tracked scenery, lifts and sunroofs, cue-synced and monitored so the move lands the same, safely, every performance.

How we plug in

We build it,
or we control it.

Take automation turn-key, or bring us in to integrate Raynok control over machinery you already run. However you start, one team owns the moving parts and how they are driven.

01

We build it and we run it

Turn-key. TSA designs and builds the machinery, then integrates and commissions it on the Raynok control platform - one accountable partner from mechanical build to opening night.

02

Control over your machinery

Already have the kit? We integrate Raynok control over your existing automation and hoists, cue it to your show and commission it safely.

03

One axis or a whole rig

Start with a single automated bar or lift, or scale to a multi-axis 3D rig. The same system and the same operators grow with the show.

What we mean by automation

Built and controlled
as one system.

Theatrical automation is a stage move - a fly bar, a revolve, a tracked wagon, a lift, a sunroof (sometimes called a sloat, a sliding lid over a trap) - driven under software control so it runs the same way, on cue, every performance. TSA delivers it turn-key: we design and build the machinery, then integrate and commission it on the Raynok control platform, so one team is accountable for both the moving part and the control that drives it.

Because the moving part and the control sit with the same team, a cue change or a re-balanced load path is handled in one place, not passed between vendors. That holds whether we built the machinery or integrated control over automation you already run. It is one part of Production Engineering.

One cue sweeps the show. Each axis fires on its beat - TSA-built machinery, run on the Raynok control platform, one team accountable for both. Select an axis to see how it stays controlled.

How we run it

How the move runs.

An automated move is turn-key with TSA - designed and built, then driven and monitored under one control system. Here is how a cue becomes a repeatable, safe move.

  1. Step 01

    Mechanical design & build

The machinery that makes the move - engineered, fabricated and load-rated in-house.

  2. Step 02

    Drives & control

Variable-speed drives integrated with the Raynok control platform, sized to the axis and the load.

  3. Step 03

    Cue programming

Each move programmed to your cue sheet and, where you need it, to show timecode.

  4. Step 04

    Anti-sway & feedback

Closed-loop position and load feedback, with anti-sway on multi-axis moves.

  5. Step 05

    Run & live-monitor

Operated from the desk with live load and position read-outs, every performance.

It is one part of Production Engineering - technical design and drafting, performer flying and custom fabrication all sit alongside it.

FAQ

Questions
about automation & control.

If your question isn't here, talk to our team and we'll come back with the right answer for your show.

Both. Turn-key, we design and build the machinery and commission it on the Raynok control platform. Or, if you already run the kit, we integrate Raynok control over your existing automation and hoists and commission it to your show. Either way one team is accountable for the move and the control that drives it.
Yes. Moves can be triggered to show timecode and the Raynok control platform integrates with lighting, video, audio and life-safety systems, with live positional data available to media servers for projection.
The machinery is ours: TSA designs, builds and integrates it. The control layer is the Raynok platform, which we commission and run. One team owns the machinery, the integration and the accountability for the whole system on your stage.
