Stage-sized, stage-rated.
A printed backdrop is a full-stage scenic cloth, digitally printed to your artwork and flame retarded to AS 1530 standards. We print on three substrate weights - blockout, lightweight and semi-transparent - cut to your stage, seamed in low-detail areas, and finished ready to rig.
Design, print and finishing run end-to-end in our in-house Melbourne workshop, the home of Reveal soft goods for over twenty years. Supplied Australia wide, typically 2-4 weeks from approved artwork, with the compliance paperwork in the box. It is one part of the full Drapes & Accessories range.
The whole printed cloth, edge to edge - sized to your proscenium, the stage opening. Move in, and the colour holds. No banding, no pixelation. At arm's length the detail is still sharp - printed, not painted.

Three cloths,
one workflow.
Every printed backdrop starts with the cloth. Blockout for full opacity, lightweight for the truck, semi-transparent for the reveal - each prints the same high-resolution artwork and ships flame retarded to AS 1530 standards.
Full opacity, full colour.
The standard for theatrical backdrops: a woven polyester with a blockout coating that stops light bleed cold, so nothing behind the cloth reads through under a strong stage wash. Matte finish, deep colour and the body to hang flat. Spec it for permanent installs and long-run seasons, where the backdrop has to look painted take after take.
Folds down, travels light.
A lightweight woven polyester built for the road: it rolls or folds for transport without creasing, then hangs flat under its own weight in the next venue the same day. It takes the same high-resolution print as blockout, with a touch less saturation that we account for in the artwork. The pick when every kilogram in the truck counts.
One cloth, two looks.
A fine polyester gauze that carries a printed design and a reveal in the same drop. Front-lit it reads as the print; back-lit it dissolves into a wash and shows what sits behind it. The cloth for dual-state scenic moments and layered reveals - opera, magic and large-format event design.
Three substrates cover the printed work.
