On the road

From the package on the truck to the gear on the dock, one team has it.

A tour is a kit list that has to roll into a new dock every few days and pass inspection at each one - hoists and truss racked for transit, cases built for the road, and the certification trail that lets the venue and the producer both sign off. Explore what we supply and service across the load-in.

    Service & Inspection
Common in this sector

What touring productions call us about.

Different city, same short list. These are the calls that turn into a callout the same day - and the reason we keep a service contact in every state before you ask.

A motor packed up two cities into the run, and there was no one local I could call to get it serviced.

Production Manager, national tour

Half the rigging tags were due to expire before the last date, and the next venue wanted current certificates.

Head Rigger, arena tour

The house rig at one venue would not take our points, and we found out on the dock at load-in.

Tour Manager

We needed a few more hoists for the bigger rooms, and our own fleet was already out on another run.

Technical Director, touring production

Bump-out was at midnight and the gear had to be back on the truck and ready for the next dock by morning.

How TSA helps

Everything your tour carries, from one team.

Most of what rolls into the dock, we build, supply and control. Hover or tap any capability to see what we put on the truck - and who keeps it running once the run starts.

Engagement model

How it usually goes, start to finish.

Most touring runs with TSA follow the same five-step shape. Mapped to your tour dates, not ours.

  1. Step 01

    Spec

Pre-tour package spec and quote for the run.

  2. Step 02

    Allocate

Stock allocated to your full tour window.

  3. Step 03

    On the road

A service contact for every state on the run.

  4. Step 04

    Recertify

Mid-tour recertification if a window comes due.

  5. Step 05

    Strike & return

Strike, return and post-tour service on the kit.

Common questions

Questions touring productions ask us most.

Yes. We supply service in-house across the country, so a failure two cities into the run is answered by a TSA contact in that state, not a freight job back to base. For tours on a package with us, that on-the-road service contact is set up before you leave, with stocked parts on the most common kit.

Yes. We schedule mid-tour recertification against your dates, so tags don't lapse between cities and the next venue gets current certificates. We map the windows against the run up front and slot the recert into a load-in or a day off, rather than letting a date catch you out.

We engineer the package so it works across the rooms on your run, and where a house rig won't take the points as planned, we work the rigging design and supply the adaptation - bridles, alternative steels, extra motors - so the show still loads in. Better found on a drawing than on the dock, so we check the venue rigs against your plan ahead of the dates.

Lifting and rigging work is delivered against AS 4991 and D8 Plus where applicable. Drape FR treatment is delivered against AS 1530. Electrical testing against AS/NZS 3760. Where a producer or venue has insurer-specific requirements, we work to whichever standard is stricter.

That's the most common reason productions ring us. We allocate the hoists, truss and rigging to your full tour window on the calendar - one package, one spec, certified out and serviced back - so you're not re-sourcing kit city to city. Short for the bigger rooms or building a full touring package, it's the same kit you'd buy, on hire for the run.
